I thought I was sure, but now I've still got some thinking to do.
San frans:
- freakishly high salary
- free catering lunch & dinner
- web crap: 80% PHP and 20% Java
- apparently very "data driven", whatever that means
- big city
- far
shelton:
- middle of nowhere in connecticut
- an hour or so from stamford (or at most 2)
- freaking suburb
- not sure what the pay is exactly
- data mining position: MUCH more interesting
I think I will choose Shelton (if my concern about transportation is cleared up), but it's interesting what I'm forgoing: 4 months in lovely San Francisco, California with a lot of waterloo interns, an opportunity to explore a new place, and a chance to develope socially. But heck, I think I'm already doing well in that department. I should focus on the "home" thing I spent so much time writing about =).
End of Entry

I contest your inclination. Go San Fran! =P
yeah, bad decision.
I know, it looks very attractive. That company celebrated christmas holidays by renting a frigging ISLAND. But data mining much more interesting than web stuff... PHP isn't my fav =/... closer to G... >_>...
I probably wouldn't regret it either way but... bleh.
I still say you're making the wrong move =P
why?
because *lists a crapload of reasons that you already know*
=P
